Former English footballer Colin Bell died Tuesday after a short illness at the age of 74. This was announced by his former club Manchester City, in whose jersey he played 492 matches and scored 152 goals.
"Colin left peacefully after a non-coronavirus disease. He was survived by his wife Marie and children Jon and Dawn, grandchildren Luke, Mark, Isla and Jack," the citizens said in a statement.
Bell helped City to the title in the highest competition in the 1967/1968 season and to win both the FA Cup and the League Cup. In 1970, he enjoyed a triumph in the Cup Winners' Cup. He played for 48 duels for the national team and scored 9 goals. The AFP agency informed about it.
