The Dutch organizers of this year's European Football Championship believe that they will welcome a significant number of fans at the stadium in Amsterdam. With the first rehearsals for the opening of the stands, the qualifiers will start at the beginning, when they will allow 5000 spectators to visit in Saturday's duel with Latvia.
"We hope to fill the stadium at the European Championships by two-thirds or three-quarters. There are still a few months left and the number of vaccinated will increase by then," said Eric Gudde, sports director of the Dutch Football Federation, according to DPA.
Amsterdam is one of the twelve host cities, with three group stage matches and one eight-final match.
