In 2020, the number of international transfers in men's football fell by 5.4 percent. The coronavirus pandemic was also a sign that significantly affected the amount of severance pay. Compared to 2019, transfer amounts decreased by 23.5 percent.


      This emerges from a study published by the International Football Federation (FIFA). English clubs spent the most on player transfers, amounting to $ 1.63 billion. In second place were Italian clubs (731.6 million USD). Most of the money from transfers went to the coffers of Spanish clubs (USD 785.7 million). The AFP agency informed about it.
