Schalke manager David Wagner has revealed that his players will have their own individual pockets for salt and pepper. The Bundesliga is starting next week and players will be isolated in hotels before the matches.
"It simply came to our notice then. I'm going from meeting to meeting. We focus on a lot of details, "Wagner told The Times.
Before the first game, players must be in quarantine for seven days. Hotel rooms are always cleaned by the same person at two- or three-day intervals. Everyone who goes to lunch and dinner has their own pockets for spices, which no one else can touch.
Similar rules apply to coaches who have received detailed instructions including how to wear a protective mask during matches. The new rules allow coaches to remove the mask to scream, but only if they are at least 1.5 m away from other distances.
"I expect it will be difficult to shout instructions to players, even if they are played in empty stadiums where the voice is easily transmitted," RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann told a press conference for the virtual website.
