Ousmane Dembélé will not play in the La Liga this season. Despite the fact that his treatment is progressing and could theoretically catch up with the league, his situation is very complicated.
At the beginning of February, the French high-legged wing had serious muscle injuries, which disqualified him from the game until the summer. At that time, no one even knew what would happen to the league, so Barcelona removed it from the roster by the end of the season and signed Leganes striker Martin Braithwaite in an emergency.

The paradox, however, is that Dembélé is still part of the Champions League roster, which is listed on the UEFA website. This means that if the elimination part of the Champions League and Ousmane starts 100% in health in the announced August term, it could be a great benefit for the Blaugranas team. Barcelona will start in a possible restart of the Champions League with retaliation at home against Naples (the first match ended 1: 1 - editor's note).
For Dembélé, this may be the last chance to show his potential and keep his place at Camp Nou.
The French striker arrived at Camp Nou in the summer of 2017 for £ 138 million. So far, he has played only 74 matches for the FCB, in which he scored 19 goals. The last match was played on November 27, 2020 against Dortmund in the Champions League, where he was injured in the 25th minute.
