Spanish team SD Huesca fired head coach Michel Sanchez on Tuesday. He reacted to Monday's home loss 0: 2 in the 18th round of La Liga with Betis Sevilla, after which the team ranks last in the table with 12 points.

Huesca has won only one match in La Liga this season. He is currently losing six points to save. Forty-five-year-old Sanchez led Huesca to advance among the elite, but with the team he could not win. He had nine draws on his account. "SD Huesca would like to thank coach Michel and his implementation team for their great efforts from the first to the last day of the post," the DPA agency quoted from the official club communiqué.

The Spanish media speculate that Sanchez could be replaced on the vacant post by the former pilot of Leganes, Real Sociedad San Sebastian and Alaves Asier Garitano.
