MADRID - Gareth Bale will not be available to Real Madrid for Saturday's match against Espanyol Barcelona in the 16th round of Spain's La Liga. The Welsh winger suffered an unspecified injury last week against Alavés.

The Spanish media reported on his swollen left leg, but Real Madrid did not confirm it. One of the drivers of the recent Welsh advance to the European Championship final tournament is likely to miss the next week's final round of the Champions League group stage final round against the Belgian Bruges on their lawn. Madrians are already assured of participation in the knockout stage of the CHL.

The Spanish media also reported that Bale did not forgive play golf again and he does not appear to be hurt at all. Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said, he can not ban players from leisure activities.

"They're all adults, and they know best what to do," Zidane said. Madrid's "white ballet" currently counts more injured players than only Bala. On Friday, Eden Hazard, James Rodríguez, Marcelo, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vázquez also did not train with the team.

Real Madrid is in the lead of La Liga, together with its rival FC Barcelona, both teams have 31 points from 14 matches. The Catalan team is doing better on the score. FC Barcelona hosts Mallorca on Saturday.
