Captain Watford Troy Deeney loudly embarked on plans to restart the English Football League, expressing his opinion that he would not put football above his family's health. Deeney published his position during a coronavirus pandemic that claimed more than 33,000 lives in the United Kingdom.

"I am not currently debating about football, I am interested in the health of my family. If I feel that my family is in danger, I will not enter the playground. What will they do, take my money? I've been poor before, so I don't mind. If it's not safe for fans to be in the stadium, why should it be safe for players? ”Deeney said anxiously about the lack of social distances that footballers make compared to government recommendations.
Fanless games are currently being discussed until 2021. Many unanswered questions remain, such as the implementation of corner kicks, where 18 or more men tend to stand in a crowd at once, which contradicts the rules of distance.
