The English Premier League football will continue during the country's latest lockdown. This was confirmed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, according to which elite competitions can continue from Wednesday, when the current measures taken in England in connection with the pandemic of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 will be tightened.

      The tightened regime is to last at least until mid-February, but the government has announced that PL and other professional football competitions will not stop.
