By August 2, Serie A and all the lower leagues that had been postponed due to the pandemic will be completed in Italy.
In Italy, the league was discontinued on March 9 and the remaining 9 rounds are missing. Originally, the league was to be completed on May 24, this date will be replaced by August 2. The clubs should start training gradually from May 4 and the league should start in full at the beginning of June.

The president of the Italian football federation, G. Gravina, has complied with the UEFA, which is trying to appeal to national federations to try to complete domestic league competitions. UEFA also discussed the opposite alternative at Thursday's meeting and agreed that in the event of a decision by the government of a particular country, the unions do not have to insist on finishing the season. They can end it even if its completion would be too much of an economic burden for clubs. Failure to complete them in such a case would not deprive them of a place in the new edition of the Champions League and the European League.
