FC Barcelona striker Lionel Messi is ready to start his 45th match against Real Madrid, which may be the last for the Argentine.

"I don't want it to be Messi's last El Clásico. I hope he stays in Barcelona," the AP quoted Real coach Zinedin Zidan as saying. "It would be good for the Spanish league as well. We know what a fantastic player he is," he added to Messi's margo, whose contract with the Catalan club expires in the summer.

The Argentine will decide his fate after the season, when he will be able to leave Barcelona without obligations. Messi, who will celebrate his 34th birthday in June, recorded a record 26 accurate hits in the force measurements with Real. "We need him to play his best and we all have to show our best. We need Leo to attack," Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman told Saturday's hit.
