An update on the fitness of several Arsenal players has emerged on Wednesday morning.

Slavia Prague vs Arsenal

The Gunners are set to play out what is arguably their biggest game of the season so far on Thursday.

Despite beating Premier League basement dwellers, Sheffield United, over the weekend, Arsenal are still only 9th in the league and a full seven points off 6th with just six matches left to play.

So, it seems quite unlikely that Mikel Arteta and co. will be securing any European football via the league this term.

As a result, if the north Londoners want to salvage anything from this season, they are probably going to need to win the Europa League.

Arsenal would draw Slavia Prague in the quarter-finals and despite dominating the first leg, were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw, which saw the Czech outfit net a crucial away goal right at the death.

Arsenal team news ahead of Slavia Prague

So, it is actually Slavia who head into Thursday’s meeting with the advantage. Meaning Mikel Arteta will no doubt be keen to play as strong a side as possible when the two teams meet at the Eden Arena.

And, as mentioned above, a team news update on the Gunners has emerged on Monday.

In a boost to Arsenal, both Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are available for tomorrow’s game.

Elsewhere, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (illness) and Martin Odegaard (ankle) are facing late fitness tests:
