As the current season reaches it’s climatic end, club’s marketing teams and kit manufacturers are busy producing the kits that teams will wear for next season, 2021-2022.
Today there have been more pictures released of Chelsea’s new home shirt ahead of it’s release which is likely to be in May.
The kit is once again made by Nike.

The kit looks dramatically different from the current home shirt, as ‘Opti Yellow’ is to be added to the ‘Lyon Blue’ and a V collar is used and there are three yellow stripes.
The kit features an abstract zig-zag and checker all-over print, which is also a change from the relatively plain style of their 2020-2021 shirt. The Nike and club logos will be yellow and the “Three” logo will remain in white.
The shorts will feature the same print as the shirt and the white socks.

Mateo Kovaic missed out on Chelsea’s defeat to Porto on Tuesday night, a game which still saw them advance to the Champions League Semi Finals, where they will face Real Madrid.
He is also expected to miss this weekend’s FA Cup Semi Final with Manchester City tomorrow evening at Wembley. Thomas Tuchel the player picked up an injury ahead of the Champions League game.
“Kovacic got a muscle injury out of almost nothing. We played a training game in little boxes, his hamstring. He is unsure for the game against City as well. He’s a big loss.”
