An update on Eric Bailly’s wellbeing has been forthcoming on Monday, ahead of Manchester United’s upcoming showdown with Granada.
Reds on top
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are of course set to turn their attentions back to matters on the European front later this week.
After making it a trio of successive victories across all competitions courtesy of a 3-1 downing of Tottenham a little over 24 hours ago, the Red Devils will go about booking their spot in the semi-finals of the Europa League on Thursday night.
United are of course well placed to do exactly that as things stand, having gotten the better of Granada by two goals to nil in Spain late last week.
Strikes from Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes saw the Premier League heavyweights depart the Estadio de Los Cármenes with a comfortable 2-0 win, to put one foot in the competition’s final-4.

Bailly to return?
In turn, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could well opt to shake things up in three days’ time, when United play host to Granada in the tie’s 2nd-leg.
And, if the latest word doing the rounds online this evening is to be believed, the options at the disposal of the Reds boss look set to imminently boosted by the return of a fan favourite.
The player in question? Eric Bailly.
Ivorian stopper Bailly has missed United’s last three outings, after testing positive for Covid-19 whilst on international duty earlier this month.
As per the reliable Jonathan Shrager, though, the 27-year-old has now recovered, and will return to Manchester ahead of Thursday’s clash.
It of course remains to be seen whether Bailly is deemed fit enough to participate versus Granada or not.
