Reports emerging in the British press over the weekend have linked Leeds United with two players.

Leeds interested in Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico

Firstly, it appears Leeds United are in the market for a left-back after being linked with Ajax and Argentina defender, Nicolas Tagliafico.

The defender linked up with Ajax in 2018, departing his home country of Argentina.

The 28-year-old has since become an integral member of the Dutch outfit’s backline and played key roles in their recent domestic success and in their Champions League run which saw them reach the semi-finals in 2019.

All told, Tagliafico has notched 135 appearances across all competitions for Ajax, in which he has scored 13 and assisted 18.

Now, according to the Mirror, Leeds are working on what they describe as an ambitious move for Tagliafico.

It is added that Marcelo Bielsa views a new left-back as a top priority this summer and sees Tagliafico as an ideal signing. No potential fee is mentioned in the report.

Leeds linked with Rangers’ Ryan Kent

Elsewhere, Leeds look to be eyeing some reinforcements at the other end of the pitch.

As per the Sun, Leeds are eyeing a move for Rangers winger, Ryan Kent.

Kent has enjoyed a solid 2020/21 to date, scoring 12 and assisting 13 as Rangers picked up their first league title since 2011.

The Sun claim the Peacocks have previously bid £11m for Kent, but may need to go as high as £15m to sign him.

The 24-year-old’s current contract with Rangers will have two years left to run in the summer.
