Aguero not fit for Cup semi-final
Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Sergio Aguero will not be fit for the FA Cup semi final against Chelsea.
“No not yet” he replied when asked about the Argentine. “The rest are ok – tired, but in a good mood and OK.”
Guardiola went on to speak about the condition of Kevin De Bruyne after the Belgian signed a new contract.
“He’s arriving in a good feeling,” he said. “Against Leicester after the international break he was outstanding and after that game he didn’t play against Leeds, so everyone (was) involved.

“Dortmund he was good. In the last six weeks, he’s arriving in the best condition physically and mentally. Signing the contract was good for everyone, for him, the family. Hopefully he can continue at this level.”
City have the opportunity to reach yet another final having already booked their place in the League Cup final taking place later this month.
Aguero wage demands
With Aguero leaving at the end of the season when his contract expires, the clubs queuing up to sign him will need to compete to offer him the best deal.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo referenced that the 32-year-old is looking for a sum in the region of €12 million a year.
This would be a figure approximately equalling €230,000 per week.
Barcelona and Juventus have been credited with interest from abroad. The Blaugrana have seen huge wages and transfer fees paid to/for the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.

Both have had their own major injury and form issues. Considering Aguero’s history of injury problems, questioning whether it would be wise for Barca to legislate such an outlay is a well-founded thought process.
