Tottenham vs Chelsea

Tottenham fell to a rather embarrassing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace this past weekend.

Said loss came on the back on Spurs’ superb start to the season, which saw them pick up three wins in three from the Premier League.

As a result, the Lilywhites are no doubt desperate to get back to winning ways this weekend.

However, Tottenham do have a rather tough task ahead of them, facing off with London rivals, Chelsea, on Sunday.

The Blues have been one of the best sides in England since Thomas Tuchel took over and are likely to prove one of Spurs’ toughest opponents this term.

Son & Dier updates

As a result, Nuno Espirito Santo is likely eager to have as strong a squad as possible at his disposal.

The north Londoners are already set to be without Japhet Tanganga, after the defender was shown a red card vs Crystal Palace last weekend.

Both Heung-min Son and Eric Dier also looked to be doubts. Son would pick up a calf issue whilst on international duty with South Korea and Dier limped out of the Palace game after just 11 minutes.

We’ve been forced into an early change following an injury to Eric.

Now though, the latest update on the pair suggests they could be in line to feature against the Blues.

As per the Telegraph’s Matt Law, Son has not given up on being fit to face Chelsea on Sunday, with Dier also hopeful of being fit:

Heung-Min Son has not given up on being fit to face Chelsea on Sunday. Would be a huge boost for Tottenham if he can make it. Dier hopeful too #thfc
