Thierry Henry hinted

This morning the Premier League revealed on social media a campaign to start their own hall of fame.

A number of former footballers were featured in the video tape alluding towards the first entry.

Glen Hoddle, Jamie Carragher and Harry Redknapp all featured and spoke about a forward and goalscorer.

“It was a nightmare to play against him,” said Carragher.

“He’s the best goalscorer the Premier League has ever seen,” said former Arsenal striker Ian Wright.

What followed was clips of goals scored by the player and it became quickly apparent that these were the works of the Arsenal legendary forward Thierry Henry.

Rooney rates Henry over Aguero

With Sergio Aguero leaving Manchester City at the end of the season and the possibility of him leaving the country altogether much has been discussed as to where he would rate amongst the all-time Premier League strikers.

Former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney has had his say and believes that whilst the Argentine is ‘right up there’ he is still, in his view, behind Henry.

“Aguero has been fantastic and is certainly right up there,” Rooney said.

“But if I was asked to choose then I’d probably say Thierry Henry was the best foreign player.

“There’s a few in a pack just behind him who are right up there like Aguero, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Dennis Bergkamp and Eric Cantona.”

Could Aguero one day join Henry in this incoming Premier League Hall of Fame?
