Kalajdzic impressing with Stuttgart

Sasa Kalajdzic joined Stuttgart in 2019, after departing his home country of Austria.

The German outfit are believed to have paid less than £3m to land the hitman, which has since proven quite the bargain.

In 27 Bundesliga outings this season, the 23-year-old has already scored 14 goals, as well as providing four assists.

Kalajdzic, whose current contract runs until 2023, also recently earned his first international call-up, before making his debut for Austria in October of 2020.

Tottenham linked with Kalajdzic

On the back of his fine start to life in Germany, meanwhile, Kalajdzic has attracted a fair bit of interest from England.

Both Newcastle United and West Ham have been credited with an interest in the hitman this year.

And now, yet another Premier League club have too seemingly joined the race for Kalajdzic.

According to a report from Euro Sport, Spurs have begun looking into a summer move for the Stuttgart star.

The piece also mentions interest from West Ham, RB Leipzig and Roma, whilst speculating that Kalajdzic is valued at around £15m, a reasonable fee for a player it is suggested would act as a back-up option to Harry Kane.

It is added that Tottenham have also been closely monitoring Southampton’s Danny Ings, and remain hopeful of a deal despite the situation having gone quiet of late.

In addition, the north London outfit are said to be in the market for a central defender, with Euro Sport adding that Spurs have been tracking Joachim Andersen – currently on loan at Fulham from Lyon – for three years. In turn, they are now ‘completely convinced’ of the Dane’s attributes.
