Juventus return to classic
With the close of the current season fast approaching, this has seen the arrival of leaks of some of the new kits which we can expect to see for the next campaign.
As is often the case in present day, kit designers like to take inspiration from classic iterations of shirts to spark nostalgia and connection between fans and the merchandise. Driving up sales.
It is certainly the direction which Adidas have taken with the Juventus kit for the next season. This current design saw an artistic style of black stripes as if painted onto the white shirt.

However, next season sees the return of the classic zebra pattern of solid black and white stripes.

With Andrea Pirlo still in command, although questions of his future continue to fester, the link with the past is already strong.
Although, the coach has said his side do not fear any potential sanction from UEFA after their inclusion as a Founding Club of the now dead Super League proposal.
“We are not afraid of this, we are calm and focused on our work,” Pirlo told a press conference this week.

Milan focus on width
Whilst Juve are going for a more classic feel, Puma are making alterations to the symbolic red and black stripes of AC Milan for next season’s kit.
Typically vertical black stripes running down a red shirt, Puma are playing around with the width this time.
This season, the black was certainly the predominant feature, which is set to be reversed next year.

A thick black line runs down the middle from the neck, either side lie thinner black lines and aside them even slimmer black lines fall down before the arms.
The sleeve is mainly red with just the portion of underarm area black which plunges down to about 3/4 of the length on the sides.
