Croatian footballer Mario Mandžukič is close to signing a contract with Serie A leader AC Milan. According to the Italian media, he has already agreed orally with the club management on cooperation.


      According to MilanNews and Calciomercato.com, the 34-year-old striker should sign a one-and-a-half-year contract with "rossoneri" on Tuesday as a free agent. The parties have only to agree on whether Manchuk enters into a six-month contract with an option for the next season, or if AC immediately subscribes for 18 months.


      The former Croatian national team has already played in the highest Italian competition for Juventus Turin, where he left in December 2019. He scored 44 goals in 162 matches in the "bianconeri" jersey. He last worked at Al Duhail SC in Qatar, for which he played in five matches, he played his last competitive match in March 2020. Before that, he also played for VfL Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich or Atletico Madrid. He won a silver medal with the Croatian national team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
