A bombshell transfer update has come to the fore in the European media this evening, ahead of Juventus’ meeting with Udinese.
Allegri’s new era
The Bianconeri are of course set to get their 2021/22 campaign underway shortly.
After surrendering the club’s Scudetto crown to fierce rivals Inter Milan last time out, the hierarchy at the Allianz Stadium acted decisively, opting to part ways with the inexperienced Andrea Pirlo, to reinstall Max Allegri on the club’s bench.
The Italian’s first task on the back of his return, as outlined above, comes in the form of a Serie A showdown with Udinese.
Juve have made the trip to the Stadio Friuli eyeing up all three points, after champions Inter got the defence of their title off to a flyer courtesy of a 4-0 drubbing of Genoa on Saturday.

CR7 wants out
Ahead of the action getting underway in Udine, attentions over the last couple of hours have understandably centered on the first matchday XI set to be fielded by Allegri, following his comeback.
And such questions, in turn, were answered a short time ago, when the Old lady took to social media to unveil their latest line-up.
The likes of Juan Cuadrado, Alex Sandro and Paulo Dybala, as expected, have all been included from the off.
On the other hand, amongst those left out are not only new signing Manuel Locatelli and Italy Euro 2020 hero Federico Chiesa, but, most notably of all, Cristiano Ronaldo :

An explanation for CR7 being relegated to the bench, though, has since been forthcoming.
And it will no doubt come as a major boost for any clubs who may have been eyeing up a shock swoop for the Portuguese over the final week of the summer transfer window.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo’s absence versus Udinese has come at his own request, as the veteran attacker sets his sights firmly on a move away from Turin:
He’s NOT starting – it was a precise request from Cristiano because he hopes to find a solution on the market in the next days.
But Juventus have received NO official bids yet for Cristiano. pic.twitter.com/sQ0z3rO1Bk
