The leader of the highest Dutch football competition, Ajax Amsterdam, won Sebastian Haller from West Ham United during the winter transfer period. He will pay a severance pay of 22.5 million euros for the 26-year-old striker from Côte d'Ivoire, the AP agency reported.

Haller agreed with the Ajax officials on a contract until June 2025. In his new position, he will meet coach Eric ten Haga, under whom he has previously played in Utrecht. He has been in West Ham since 2019, playing 50 matches for the "hammers" and scoring 14 goals.
