The EUFA Executive Committee has scheduled a meeting on 17 June. The program is determined by the possibility of completing the Champions League, which has been suspended since March and is likely to end without spectators.
UEFA aims to complete an elite club competition in August after domestic competitions close their seasons. The Champions League has not finished eightfinals.
30.5. is the date when the final of the Champions League was to take place at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. UEFA is reportedly no longer considering closing the league in this city, as one way to complete the competition is to play the remaining matches in one place. There are currently restrictions on traveling in Europe and Turkey is banning international flights.
The priority for determining the place of matches will be the availability for players and officials, as no fan will be allowed in the remaining games of the Champions League. Proper travel logistics and the ability to implement hygiene requirements will be important when deciding on a location.
Currently, the most experienced nation to fight the pandemic is Germany, which managed to restart its league two weeks ago. UEFA said it was exploring different options for its tenders, but had not yet taken any decisions.
